The days have been beautiful and sunny, except for a lot of rain this week, and the rain even adds to the fun. So I want them to remember wonderful times as a family, and how we learned and explored our yard and beyond. I admit that I loved doing it myself! I want this summer to be memorable for the kids, in a good way. We are lucky to have four acres of gardens and lawn and forest, but even without that, this little scavenger hunt is fun for kids of all ages. The kids don’t have camp this summer and it’s a lot of open-ended time. My original plan was to treat it as a nature walk type activity, but we have been getting a lot of. This activity can be done both indoors and outdoors, but it is especially fun to do as an outdoor activity. This Nature Color Hunt is a super fun summer activity. The color hunt is an activity where kids can search for different items that they can find that are the colors on their color hunt sheet. So this is my gift to you this summer, six free printable pages that will hopefully help bring new life to your walks. So, I had an idea to make printable pages with double-sided tape that would easily “collect” all their little trashy treasures, LOL, and it has been a major mom-win. J/K! Sometimes I feel like saying “keep your trash out of my stroller”… is that just me or do you feel like that too? However, I don’t because the Mom guilt far outweighs a dirty stroller.
